Editorial policy
How this site decides what to publish, how it checks facts, and how it pays for itself without any of that affecting what you read.

What this site covers
Worldwide Scholarships lists funding for international students, currently 199 programmes, alongside guides on application mechanics, visas and financial aid. We list a scholarship only when all three of these hold:
- It is backed by an identifiable, legitimate funder: a government, a university or a named foundation, not an anonymous "sponsor."
- It is currently open, or has a known, recurring cycle, even if this year's round has closed and the next date is not out yet.
- It is free to apply for. We do not list programmes that charge an application fee to the student.
How we verify a scholarship or a fact
Every deadline, award amount and eligibility rule on this site traces back to the awarding body's own page, not an aggregator, not another blog, not a press release repeating a figure secondhand. Before anything publishes, each factual claim is checked against the exact page that is meant to support it.
If that page cannot be reached, or does not actually say what a claim says, the claim does not go out, whether that means holding the whole article or leaving a single unconfirmed detail out and saying so plainly rather than guessing. A vague or unreachable source is treated as no source at all.
How content is produced
Research and drafting are AI-assisted. A pipeline searches for primary sources, drafts against what it found, and then has to prove every perishable claim against a live URL before anything can be published. Drafts that fail that check are discarded rather than corrected and pushed out anyway.
Editorial decisions, what to cover, how to word an eligibility rule, what counts as "fully funded," and the standards on this page, are human. We would rather be upfront about that combination than generate content at volume and say nothing about how it was made.
Keeping content current
Funding bodies change deadlines, amounts and eligibility rules without warning. Every scholarship entry shows the date it was last confirmed against its official page, so you can judge for yourself how fresh it is rather than take that on faith. Entries are re-checked over time, not published once and left to go stale.
What we will not do
- Call something "fully funded" unless the source confirms tuition, living costs and travel are all covered. Otherwise we state exactly what is and is not included.
- Publish a deadline we could not confirm. If the next cycle's date is not out yet, we say so instead of reusing last year's or estimating one.
- Invent urgency. No countdown timers on scholarships that are not actually closing soon.
- Quote a statistic, an acceptance rate or an applicant count without a source we can point to.
- Charge you anything, ever, for a listing, a guide, or access to the directory.
Advertising and editorial independence
This site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising has no influence over which scholarships or guides we cover, how any programme is described, or what we recommend. No university, government body, agency or foundation pays for coverage or for favourable treatment, and no scholarship listing is a paid placement. Ads are visually separated from editorial content and are never presented as if they were part of the directory or a guide's own recommendation.
Some links to third-party services may earn a commission. That never affects whether something is listed, how it is described, or where it appears.
Corrections
If you find something wrong, an outdated deadline, an incorrect benefit, a broken official link, tell us and we will check it against the awarding body's own page and fix it. Accuracy matters more here than looking authoritative, and a correction costs us nothing next to somebody missing a funding round because of a mistake we left standing.
